About the
Lamps & Shades
My collections are created by restoring rare vintage lamps and sourcing distinctive bases from select artists. Working with graphic fabric designers to refine the patterns, scale and proportions of a design, I then handcraft lamp shades to reflect both the era and character of each restored base.
Some of my shades are uniquely designed to create a holographic effect when the light is on. The fabric is carefully selected for its motif, vibrancy of color and how it both absorbs and reflects light.
Working with over 150 fabric designs, I use a variety of cotton, unbleached muslin and sateen blends on both the inside and outside of the shade.
Wires are high-quality 10-gauge (or higher) and powder-coated black, gold or white. All lamps are outfitted with UL components.
